Best coffee in Maitland, the chocolate chip muffins are hands down the best muffin I've ever eaten. A must stop by cafe experience staff are beautiful Julie is so lovely!

Such a lovely place! I stopped by for a quick snack and was so impressed - the brownie was fresh and absolutely delicious, and the caramel iced latte was smooth, sweet, and perfectly made! Probably the best I’ve ever had. The service from Macie and Julie was incredible – both so warm and welcoming, it really made my day. I’m currently on crutches, and I really appreciated how easy and accessible the space was to get around. It made the experience that much more comfortable and enjoyable. Can’t wait to come back again!

Rex and friends is the place to go! Food is great and Selena makes the best coffee in the area, shout-out to her.

Grabbed a coffee and Toastie from here. Was absolutely delicious. The lady who served me recommended the pulled pork Toastie. She didn’t disappoint!!! All up cost me $20 but definitely worth the money. Will be back again

Love what you've created, toastie was delicious, matcha and coffee really good and the guy that served me had great vibes. The only thing that took the shine off the experience for me was opening the bagel and seeing the ration of cream cheese on it. I was excited to get a bagel, there's not many bagel places around. I pictured biting into the bagel and cream cheese squishing out on my way there. Opened my bagel and felt disappointment. Not even enough to spread on one side. Served with a knife to 'spread' seemed a bit silly. I would of even been fine with paying $2 for cream cheese instead if $1 but it needed about 3+ times the amount that was on there.

Such a great little Cafe! Had my Sunday commute break here and was not dissapointed! Not the cheapest option out there, but quality food and drinks. Great value for the quality you get and definitely worth it! Bacon beef and cheese pie was delicious! They precook the bacon and the cheese is well melted in. Just an extra detail you dont often see with pies, it makes all the difference. The coffee was also fantastic. Beans were not burnt or bitter, perfect amount of sweetness with my caramel syrup, just divine. Pet friendly too! I think thats their whole shtick. Great place to come if you want to meet some pups! So glad to have such a wonderful cafe right on the station. Thanks guys!

Absolutely amazing service! The coffee was great, and the team were super quick with my order. What really stood out though was how kind and understanding they were when I accidentally dropped my coffee just as I was leaving. They remade it for me without hesitation. Will definitely be back!

After seven years I called back in to the Maitland, railway station. They’ve got new owners at the coffee shop. Rex and friends the name Rex is named after the owner Dog how sweet is that? a dog has a coffee shop named after it . I had a milkshake and a big muffin was so fresh and the milkshake was nice thank you to the staff for looking after me so well . I enjoyed sitting down and having my muffin and milkshake while relaxing. If you’re coming to Maitland station and get a coffee or something to eat I highly recommend it from Michael. And they are dog friendly you can sit out the front and enjoy your coffee with your dog. How good that.
